History of the MLML Museum

An Unabridged History of the MLML Museum
This is a compilation of input from many MLML faculty, staff and graduate students, all of whom were involved in one way or the other, with the operation of the museum at MLML. Their input is included in the blog, with their names being given whenever possible. This is organized in chronological order, as best possible. Much of the information was taken by some NSF proposals in past years to fund expansion and improvement of the MLML Museum (now called the Marine Biology Collection or MBC). Unfortunately, none of these proposals were funded and the MLML Museum or MBC is as successful as it is, mainly due to the hard work and dedication of past and present faculty and graduate students. Much of the additional information at the end is taken from some NSF proposals to fund expansion and improvement of the MLML Museum (now called the Marine Biology Collection (MBC) in past years. I also found some information in the Digital Commons (http://islandora.mlml.calstate.edu/islandora/object/islandora%3Amuseum) in an area called Managing our Digital Assets. I got it by GOOGLEing MLML museum, not through the website. Later, I found it under (http://digital.mlml.calstate.edu/.)
